Callum, who only draws with pencils in private, discovers a box of strange glow-chalks in his grandfather’s attic. His drawings begin to shimmer and move at night. Though he fears being seen as odd, he brings one to schooland his classmates are amazed.
Twist: His drawings become part of the town’s lantern festival, glowing through the streets on floating paper boats.
