Leo creates a “friend-lending library” to help lonely kids find someone to spend time with at school. At first, it seems to work beautifully. But when a new student checks out Leo himself too many times, his original friends begin to feel left out. Leo must learn that friendship isn’t something to lendit’s something to grow, together. The twist: the checkout system reveals more about Leo’s own feelings of being wanted than he expected.
