The Secret Beneath the Wishing Tree

Every spring, the children of Maple Hill School tied little paper wishes to the branches of the great tree in the playground. It was called the Wishing Tree, and its branches were always fluttering with dreamsŃhopes for new pets, better grades, fun holidays, and sunny days.
